Wireless Coverage Request Form

Please be aware that any request will be subject to the following:

  • Owners are fully responsible for securing and appropriately managing their wireless access points.
  • Any access point installed on grounds will need to demonstrate that it would not allow users outside of UVa to connect.
  • All Access Points must adhere to the Policy on Airspace Guidelines
  • Wireless access points, as with all devices connected to the University's network, are subject to disconnection or restriction if they interfere with the normal operation of the network.

Faculty, staff, and students may not install Access Points on Grounds without permission. Wireless access is available in the McCormick and Alderman Road residence complexes. Implementation in other residence halls is ongoing. Personal access points will not be allowed where UVa access to its wireless network is already provided.
