Use of the Aethra Endpoint with the Codian MCU

Aethra Endpoint Use

Choose Video Call on Aethra home screen

Select Video Call on the home screen.

Enter the MCU's IP, then press CALL

Rather than “dial” another endpoint, call the Multipoint Control Unit (MCU). Enter the IP address using the remote control (1 in the figure). The bandwidth can be selected using the second blue button. Then click Call (2 in the figure).

After the Connecting screen, the conference list is displayed.

UP/DOWN moves through list; RIGHT selects

Move the cursor with theup and down buttons on the remote control. Select the indicated conference by using the rt (right) button.

PIP toggles self-view

Use PIP to toggle off the self-view (usually 2 clicks).

A window with the video from all existing conference participants is shown, and an auto-attendant's voice welcomes you to the conference. Use the same FAR camera controls to toggle among the layout choices.
HOME button switches the display to the control screen

The HOME button switches the display to the control screen where the Disconnect icon is located.

EXPAND icon on control bar
To return to the full-screen video view from the control screen, click the Expand icon. The control bar will be displayed on the video screen for several seconds, then disappear.
