Unix Systems Services

ITC's Unix Systems Group is responsible for administration and support of the Unix operating systems on ITC's and other University departments' Unix-based computers, supporting AIX, Irix, Solaris, (and soon Linux) operating systems on the IBM RS/6000, Silicon Graphics, Sun Microsystems, (and soon Intel) hardware platforms, respectively. Other responsibilities of the group include the Network Appliance filers which make up the Home Directory Service. The group provides both fee-based and free services for Unix systems to the University community. These services include:
