[Jul 17, 2008 14:02] The feature in Xpressions that notifies a user by email when they receive a voice mail is currently not working. Siemens is aware of the problem and is working on it. This does not affect any other aspect of Xpressions.

The Web Certification program, introduced in Spring 1999 and revised as new software versions are released, provides members of the University community with the training and skills needed to create and maintain web pages in the University environment.
Certification for both levels is based on workshop attendance. To obtain certification for either level, you must attend each of the four required workshops for that level or request an exemption. The Web Designer level of certification and Professional Development courses do not require completion of Web Basics certification if you already have the prerequisite skills or equivalent coursework.

The program has two certification levels, Web Basics and Web Designer. Completion of Web Basics Certification prepares participants to create and maintain simple but robust web sites. Completion of Web Designer Certification builds on the concepts presented in Web Basics courses, focusing on skills needed to create, maintain, and market more sophisticated sites. Web Professional Development Courses provide an opportunity for continuing education in timely web development topics.

If you are new to web page creation, begin with the courses toward Web Basics Certification. Upon completion of the four courses required for Web Basics (or equivalent experience if an exemption is granted), participants may wish to proceed to the four courses in Web Designer Certification. Professional Development Courses may be taken at any time, provided participants have satisfied the prerequisites unique to each course.
