To register for the Computing Survival Skills training program, please follow the steps listed below:

  1. Review the Computing Survival Skills Program Overview to see if this program will meet your needs.
  2. Ask both your supervisor and your LSP to send an email message to mailto:itc-survival@virginia.edu with your name in the subject field.

    The message should state that:

    • you are designated as a Local Support Associate (LSA)
    • as an LSA, you will provide some computing support within your department
    • your department understands the out-of-office time commitment required for you to complete this certification program successfully

If you do not know your department's LSP's name, please check the list of LSPs.
If your department does not have an LSP, please enter "none" in the LSP field below.

  3. Check the program schedule to ensure that the classes fit your schedule.
  4. There is no charge to departments for Computing Survival Skills. However, this training is available only to those designated as LSAs. (See #2 above)
