Information Program
Overview |
After completing the Computing Survival Skills program, participants were asked how the program met their expectations and addressed their needs: "It gave me an excellent overview of the entire University's computing system and operation. I had some knowledge about using the computer, but not much insight on how different components of the computer worked. I also learned a lot about what ITC does and the help that is available from them." "This program touched on many aspects that make it easier for me to do my job because I feel better equipped and know where to find information. This program woud have been nice for me when I first came to ITC." "I enjoyed this class more than any others taken in my 18 years at the University of Virginia. The content was exactly what I needed." "It exceeded my expectations. In the past, the training I have received has been "broken." This really helped me understand the overall picture." "This program was very interesting. The topics were all relevant to what I do and filled in many gaps in explaining how things worked." "I have walked away with a somewhat clearer understanding of how the operations of a computer works." "Overall, the program provided a good overview of the computing environment at the University of Virginia and computing in general. It filled in a lot of holes in my areas of knowledge." "[This program was a] good basic course and filled in some blanks. [It] helped me to measure what I really knew." "[I] now have a better understanding of computers and they "work." [I] also feel [I] can do related processes that I coud not do before. [The program] had good instructors, clear instructions and class materials." "People have always asked me for help with computers (even though I knew very little about them), and now I am not guessing as much [about them]." |
