Installation Instructions for the S-PLUS Wavelets Module

 

STEP 1:  Before installing the Wavelets Module, S-PLUS must be installed and the serial number must be obtained from the ITC Licensing Database.

 

STEP 2:  Double click on the installer file to begin installation. This will bring up the dialog box below. If you agree to the terms and conditions, click "yes."

 

 

STEP 3:  Click "Unzip" to extract the installation files. There is no need to change the location to which the files will be extracted. If the directory does not yet exist, the extractor will create it. Do NOT unclick the option to automatically run "setup.exe."

 

 

STEP 4:  After the files are extracted, you will see the screen below. Click "OK" to continue. The installer will automatically start.

 

 

STEP 5:  Insert the CD and click on Next when the installation dialog appears.

 

 

STEP 6:  Enter the Serial Number obtained from the ITC Licensing Database

 

 

STEP 7:  Click on Next to continue. 

 

 

STEP 8:  The default Typical Setup is recommended.  Click on Next to continue.

 

STEP 9:  Click on Next to continue. 

 

It may take a few minutes to install the product.

 

 

 

STEP 10:  Click Finish.

 

 

 

To get started with the Wavelets Module, start S-PLUS.   Using the main menu bar, go to File, then Load Module. 

 

Highlight “wavelets” and click on OK.

 

 

 

Alternatively, you may load the Wavelets module with the Command Window by typing module(wavelets):

 

You can now access the help for Wavelets through the menu bar.  Also available through the S-PLUS menu is the online manual for S-PLUS Wavelets 2.0 in pdf format.
