Installing the S-PLUS SpatialStats 1.5 Module

 

 

STEP 1:  Before installing SpatialStats, S-PLUS must be installed and the serial number must be obtained from the ITC Licensing Database.

 

STEP 2:  Double click on the installer file to begin installation. This will bring up the dialog box below. If you agree to the terms and conditions, click "yes."

 

 

STEP 3:  Click "Unzip" to extract the installation files. There is no need to change the location to which the files will be extracted. If the directory does not yet exist, the extractor will create it. Do NOT unclick the option to automatically run "setup.exe."

 

 

STEP 4:  After the files are extracted, you will see the screen below. Click "OK" to continue. The installer will automatically start.

 

 

 

STEP 5:  When the dialog appears, click on Next.

 

STEP 6:  Enter the Serial Number obtained from the ITC Licensing Database

 

 

 STEP 7:    Click on Next.

 

 

STEP 8:  The default Typical Setup is recommended.  Click on Next to continue.

 

 

STEP 9:  Click on Next to continue.

 

 

It may take a few minutes to install the product.

 

STEP 10:  Click Finish.

 

 

 

To use the SpatialStats module:

 

  1. Start S-PLUS and load the module.  From the menu, choose load module, highlight spatial and click on OK.

 

  

 

 

Now Spatial will be available as a drop-down menu selector in the main S-PLUS menu.

 

 

Help on the SpatialStats module can now be accessed from the Help menu.
