Installing S-PLUS FinMetrics

 

Double click on the installer file to begin installation. This will bring up the dialog box below. If you agree to the terms and conditions, click "yes."

 

 

Click "Unzip" to extract the installation files. There is no need to change the location to which the files will be extracted. If the directory does not yet exist, the extractor will create it. Do NOT unclick the option to automatically run "setup.exe."

 

 

After the files are extracted, you will see the screen below. Click "OK" to continue. The installer will automatically start.

 

 

Click on Next.

 

 

Fill out your name, University of Virginia for Company, and the Serial Number from the ITC Licensing Database.  Then click on Next.

 

 

If possible install in the default destination folder, and click Next.

 

Leave Typical selected, and click on Next.

 

Click on Next.

 

 

It will take a few minutes to complete the installation.

 

 

Click on Finish.

 

 

From a S-PLUS command window you may now load the module with the command  module(finmetrics)
