Installing S-PLUS EnvironmentalStats Module

 

Double click on the installer file to begin installation. This will bring up the dialog box below. If you agree to the terms and conditions, click "yes."

 

 

Click "Unzip" to extract the installation files. There is no need to change the location to which the files will be extracted. If the directory does not yet exist, the extractor will create it. Do NOT unclick the option to automatically run "setup.exe."

 

 

After the files are extracted, you will see the screen below. Click "OK" to continue. The installer will automatically start.

 

 

The installer screen should appear.  Click on Next.

 

Enter your name, University of Virginia and the Serial Number from the ITC – Licensing Database.

 

Note that the module should be installed in the main S-PLUS folder.  If possible, use the default selection and click Next.

 

 

Click on Next.

 

If you want to install

 

 

S-PLUS 6.0 Professional is the default folder. Click on Next.

 

Click Next to continue.

 

Once installation begins, you may need to install additional fonts.  Click yes to continue.

 

 

Click Yes to install MathType 4 TrueType fonts.

 

Click on I Agree.

 

 

Click OK.

 

Click OK.

 

 

You may choose to review the current release notes.  In either case, click Finish.

 

 

For more information on getting started with EnvironmentalStats, access the help system for the module from the Windows menu, or from within the S-PLUS command window, you may start the module with the command module(envstats)

 

 

You will then be able to access the features of EnvironmentalStats through the S-PLUS drop down menu system.
