Updating your SAS 8.x Installation

If you already have SAS 8.x on your PC, then if your system meets the system requirements, you can choose to either

-- Remove SAS 8.x then install SAS 9.1.3 EAS, or

-- You may install SAS 9.1.3 EAS on the same system as 8.x.

In either case you will follow the instructions below for a New Installation.

Updating your SAS 9.1 Installation

There can be only one SAS 9.1 release (SAS 9.1, SAS 9.1.2 or SAS 9.1.3) installed on a PC. If an installation of an earlier version of SAS 9.1 is already on your machine, then these are NOT the correct instructions for your situation. You should upgrade to version 9.1.3 EAS. In order to do so, you will need to remove the existing version of SAS 9.1 and use the media marked 9.1.3 EAS to reinstall SAS.
