ESRI ArcReader is a free, easy-to-use product that allows anyone to view, explore, and print published map files (PMFs). ArcReader was designed for viewing and sharing maps that access a wide variety of dynamic geographic data.

The goal of ArcReader is to provide significantly increased access to maps throughout all parts of an organization. Anyone with ArcReader can now access high-quality maps created by ArcGIS Desktop.

ArcReader 8.3 requires Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 6a (or) Windows 2000 (or) Windows XP (Home Edition and Professional). You may either download ArcReader, or obtain a CD from Research Computing.

IMPORTANT: You cannot install the ArcReader 8.3 Stand-Alone version on the same computer with any other version of ArcGIS. You can, however, install ArcReader 8.3 from the ArcGIS 8.3 (i.e., ArcInfo) install.
