Abaqus5.8, a product from from Hibbit, Karlson & Sorensen, Inc., 
is installed on the Engineering School RS/6000's flemming.seas.virginia.edu,
kalman.seas.virginia.edu, landua.seas.virginia.edu and on the IBM SP 
(additional note on usage, below).  You must have an account on 
one of these machines to run abaqus. 

RS/6000 usage: The abaqus software is linked to from /uva/bin.
               To run, use the command     

               abaqus <infile> outfile

               where "infile" is an optional input file and "outfile" 
               receives the abaqus output.

               Department or Center for Computer Aided Engineering.
