Schedules

Data Entry/Tape Library

Data Entry is responsible for entering and verifying information from originating source documents, such as Personnel, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Financial Accounting, Leave Accounting, and Bank Reconciliation. The Tape Librarian is responsible for the maintenance of the magnetic tape/cartridge library.

Mainframe Production Control/Scheduling

The Production Control group is responsible for the setup of production jobs (i.e. student information, payroll, accounts payable), for execution and for tracking them to a successful completion, and ensuring all desired output has been produced. In addition, Production Control will work with user departments on the scheduling and running of productions systems. Other duties include operation of the optical scanning system and post-processing of machine output, which includes bursting continuous forms, signing accounts payable and payroll checks, pressure sealing forms for mailing, and deleaving multi-part forms.

Test and Exam Scanning

All "bubble sheet" (Scantron/Opscan/OMR) scanning is performed at Quality Assurance (completed bubble sheets must be returned to the QA window with a scanning request form; exception: School of Medicine instructors may return forms to the Office of Medical Education). Tests are scored with Scan&Score, a secure Web-based system, which allows online access to test results and the owner of the test, via online tools, can modify the answer key, view student grades, sort and create subsets of results, view exam statistics, and save the data securely for active retrieval for up to 2 years.

Learn more about Scan&Score, including how to sign up for access, on the Scan&Score website.
