XJDC - Xerox compiler for JDLs

Note: Instructions here will be very brief since the object code of JDLs will following the same transfer requirements and procedures as any laser form.

Modifying a Xerox Laser JDL Member

  1. You may edit the 80-byte source (.JSL) code member using either Roscoe or TSO.
  2. Use TSO to download the source .JSL member, to the Elixir PC workstation, into the directory:
    C:\XJDC\V35\xxxxxx.JSL

    (where 'xxxxxx' is the member name as it's called on the xerox laser printer)

  3. Double-click the desktop icon for XJDC.
  4. Select task Compilation, then Run and key in the name of the .JSL source member to be compiled.
  5. Once the compile process has been successfully completed, you may then upload the new object .JDL member to the appropriate PDS library of 128-length.
  6. Follow the instructions for Preparing Object-type files for transferring, and submitting the eform transfer request.
