NBIS Agenda for 9/18/97 Meeting


At tomorrow's meeting we'll welcome three new members:  Kim Guenther from 
the HSC Library, Gabe Robins from the engineering school computer science
faculty, and Zahrl Schoeny, faculty technology facilitator at the Curry
School.   I hope one or two others will join us in October.

	GWIS on gopher:  what is our long-range advice about these sites,
how can we better manage them in the short term?
	Outreach to departments:  what resources about putting information
on-line do they need?  who should supply it?   is there a role for N-BIS
here?
	Review of possible policy issues:  U.Va. responsibility for
"pornography" on virginia.edu, conditions for commercial sponsorship of
certain websites
