Agenda for 4/16/98 NBIS Committee Meeting

We meet tomorrow in our now-regular place, Newcomb 168A, at 9:30 a.m.
Three main topics:

1. Current thinking/possible proposal re desktop computers
Polley McClure outlined this at today's UCIT meeting and is looking
for feedback from us and other advisory groups to help decide whether
	it's worth pursuing.

2. Home page remodeling
Status report, including overview of meeting with the designer

3. Policy on granting directory accounts
Update, examples from other universities, further discussion of
rationale

Other topics or updates will be welcome. My notes from the last meeting
say we should talk about virtual addresses this time, but I can't remember
what that means or where it fits in. The copyright policy discussion is
deferred until May, as Josie can't come tomorrow. Louise
