Mission Statement

Taking into account both the needs of computationally intensive research as well as those of other research and scholarship, develop a description of the information technology and information resources that should exist to support a top-25 ranked institution. Assess the environment at U.Va. against this picture and in comparison to that of peer institutions. Identify and prioritize any needed improvements. Recommend funding strategies to accomplish any needed improvements. Serve as an advocate for the development of needed resources and support within schools and at the University level.
