Meeting notes for April 3, 1997, Thursday, 3:30 - 5:35 p.m., 110 Peabody Hall

Attendance: Dudley, Antrobus, Cooper, Miller, Philippon, Pfaffenberger, Sigmon, de Voursney

Summary: [Note: Kira Atwood's group will report on its look into the technological future at the next meeting of the task force.]

Members discussed the issue of who controls data. There are too many sources for data, some people said. Can there be a central authority?

Also, members expressed concerns about privacy. Can employees be mandated to post certain information about themselves? Members inquired about current policies addressing this subject.

The task force focused significant attention on refining the matrix from the last meeting and then assigning values to each cell in the grid:
