In attendance: Randy Smith, Mary Creed, Aron Teel, Mitch Rosen, Terry Lockard, David Phillips, Kathy Reed, Nancy Hopkins, Debbie Mincarelli, Tom Gausvik, Dave Ripley

The meeting focused on HR issues. Tom Gausvik and Dave Ripley from Human Resources and Debbie Mincarelli from ITC were guests at the meeting.

Tom talked about a couple of compensation pilot projects going on in the state. He noted that at the state level there is currently a moratorium on new pilots because the new administration is coming on board. The University and the state are aware of the problems with the current classification system, especially in regard to the hiring, retention and compensation of personnel. The University is working with the state on various committees to look at this issue. Tom will be invited back to the Expert Group in the spring to talk about any new developments that have arisen.

Discussion of the following topics was postponed until the next Expert Group meeting:

The next meeting will be in January. A date has not been set yet.
