Troubleshooting Netmeeting

[Jun 28, 2008 8:06] Email phishing scam targeting WebMail users has been reported. More Information

Problem: Application Sharing isn't available

This seems to have been mostly a problem found on NT workstations.

The application sharing icon on the NetMeeting toolbar may be "greyed out" even though you have a call active and you have other applications running which you should be able to share.

Possible Solution:

If you are using Windows NT, you must install Service Pack 3 in order to use the application sharing feature.

Go to Microsoft's support web site for instructions on how to obtain and install the Service Pack.

If you also have pcANYWHERE32 7.5 installed on your machine, this will interfere with NetMeeting's application sharing capability. The current version is far beyond 7.5.
