All the tools needed to join your computer to the Eservices domain are provided at the Eservices Resource Management website. This website is located at www.web.virginia.edu/mgmt. Before attempting to join your computer to the domain please read the following instructions. It may be a good idea to print this page for reference during the process. The Eservices Resource Management website includes important announcements on the left hand side of the page. Be sure to review these when you visit the site. Join Eservices Domain 1) Start by clicking on the "Join Eservices" tab which is the fourth tab from the right near the top of the page. Clicking on this tab will open the page below. At this point you will need to type some personal information to confirm that you are a member of the university community. 2) Enter your account information into the form and then click on the "Submit Information" button. 3) Once authenticated you will be presented with a page asking if you want to join your computer to the Eservices domain. Click on the link that says "Click here to proceed". If you are a faculty or staff member you will be presented with the page below. It may take fifteen minutes for the new permissions assigned to your personal account to take effect. Currently students may not join the Eservices domain and will be presented with an error message stating they may not join the domain. If you are not a student and receive an error message please contact us at ITC-MicroSystems@virginia.edu. At this point you may click on the link "Click here to download the toolkit". This toolkit is a compressed ZIP file that contains an executable file and a documentation file. Please read the documentation file before running the executable file. Before you can run the executable file successfully you must now enable your Eservices account if you have never logged into Eservices. Enable Personal Account 1) Click on the "Account Management" tab to enable your personal account. If you have taken more than five minutes to download the toolkit you may need to authenticate once more. 2) Click on the "Enable My Eservices Account" link to proceed to with setting up your account and password. 3) Scroll to the bottom of the page to view the password form. Once you enter a password for your Eservices account click on the "submit information" button shown below. Once the password is submitted it will be processed to ensure that it will work as a secure password in the domain. If the password is good click on the "Accept Password" button to complete the account process to ensure your account is enabled. If everything is fine you will be presented with the following page. The account may take as long as 15 minutes to process. During this time you can read the instructions in the join the domain toolkit. You may then run the toolkit to join the domain using the account and password you just enabled.
