Faculty Development/Instructional Design

As part of the Instructional Technology Group's effort, Faculty Development provides training and resources to faculty members who wish to incorporate educational technologies into their courses. Instructional Design disseminates information about current trends in instructional technology and collaborates with similar initiatives to develop tools and resources at the University.

Course Offerings
Instructional Technology offers training classes and materials for instructors on topics related to teaching with multimedia tools in a technology-enhanced classroom.
Examples of Instructional Technology in Courses at UVa
A variety of instructors from many disciplines are using technology at UVa to supplement or transform their teaching. From developing Internet-based video conferences to electronic textbooks on CD-ROM, UVa faculty are fast becoming leaders in the use of technology in instruction.
Instructional Toolkit Training
The Instructional Toolkit staff offer training in creating class web sites using this tool.
