Many people access their Unix host by clicking on an icon. With the retirement of systems (e.g., curry.edschool and avery.med) and the switch to the new Unix cluster called blue.unix.virginia.edu, users will want to change these icons so that they can easily access the new cluster.

These instructions deal with the five versions of the telnet program (the program that allows you to connect to a Unix host) that ITC distributes. If you have any additional questions beyond the scope of this document, please feel free to contact the ITC Computing Help Desk at 924-3731 or by sending e-mail to consult@virginia.edu.

To reconfigure your icons, first you should identify the telnet program you are using. Click on the icon on this page that most resembles the one that you use to connect for further instructions.
