Integrated System Web Connection Process

This document assumes the steps in the One-Time Setup document have been completed successfully.

These are the steps associated with logging in and out of Oracle. While you may skip steps, the order of these steps matters.

VPN passwords can be reset at the VPN account page.

Start your web browser and connect to the Integrated System For access to the Integrated System other than with Discoverer, you need to use one of the supported web browsers

Production access to Oracle will be from the web page

Using the 'Launch Oracle' link:
http://www.virginia.edu/integratedsystem/launchoracle.html

Every 45 days you will be required to change your password.

Oracle password resets (if you have forgotten the password) need to be referred through the ITC help desk

Log in to Oracle Your oracle password is different than your VPN or any other password
Use oracle The sceens used vary depending on what tasks you want to do, those depend on the responsibilities and training See training materials.

Log out of oracle     ITC Help Desk
Exit your web browser If you don't exit your web browser and do exit your VPN connection, you will not be able to make a new VPN connection later. http://www.itc.virginia.edu/desktop

Exit your VPN connection If you don't exit your VPN connection it will time out after 8 hours of idle time, but good security practice requires you log out when you are not using it. http://www.itc.virginia.edu/desktop
