Thunderbird

[Jul 17, 2008 14:02] The feature in Xpressions that notifies a user by email when they receive a voice mail is currently not working. Siemens is aware of the problem and is working on it. This does not affect any other aspect of Xpressions.

7 March 2007: We have received a report that Thunderbird 1.5.x enters a non-responsive state with LDAP queries on the VISTA operating system. The report indicates that upgrading to Thunderbird 2.x resolves the difficulty.

Thunderbird is an email program that can be used on computers that have either a Windows or a Macintosh operating system. It can be used to access email accounts on U.Va. email servers. It is developed and maintained by the Mozilla Foundation. This page provides instructions for how to download, install, configure and use Thunderbird at U.Va.

Requirements

  • This document was written for Thunderbird version 1.5. The information herein may (or may not) apply to other versions of Thunderbird.
  • A live Internet connection via the U.Va. network or an Internet Service Provider (ISP).
  • An email account on the U.Va. Central Mail Service or another email server at U.Va. (Create a CMS email account)
