Mulberry - Multiple Account Logins (Identities)

[Nov 21, 2008 9:49] Login issues with the Central Mail Service have now been resolved.

Information on using Mulberry to access multiple accounts. This process involves creating a new account, creating a new identity and then tying the identity to the account. After the account is established, you will be able to login to it after you login to Mulberry.

Creating a new account

  1. In Mulberry, choose Preferences…
    • Macintosh: from the Mulberry menu.
    • Windows: from the File menu.
  2. Click Advanced.
  3. Click Accounts tab.
  4. Click the IMAP button beside Account:, select New….
  5. In the Create New Account window, type the name for this account into the text box after Account Name:.
  6. Check that IMAP Account is selected for Account Type:.
  7. Click the OK button.
  8. After Server:, put the name of the server on which your other account exists.
  9. Click the Authenticate tab within the Accounts tab.
  10. Type your id (example: mst3k) after User.
  11. Check that the box after Hierarchy contains a forward slash (/).
  12. Select Automatic Hierarchy List.
  13. Click the OK button.

Creating a new identity

  1. In Mulberry, choose Preferences…
    • Macintosh: from the Mulberry menu.
    • Windows: from the File menu.
  2. Click Advanced.
  3. Click the Identities tab.
  4. Click the Add… button.
  5. Type a name for the new identity after Identity.
  6. Click the From tab in the Identity Edit window.
  7. Select Active.
  8. Select Single Address.
  9. Type Name: and Email: information.
  10. Click the OK button.

Tying the Identity to the Account

  1. In Mulberry, choose Preferences…
    • Macintosh: from the Mulberry menu.
    • Windows: from the File menu.
  2. Click the Accounts tab in the Remote Preferences window.
  3. Click the IMAP button after Account: on the Account tab and select the account you created.
  4. Click the Extras tab on the Account tab in the Remote Preferences window.
  5. Select Tie to Identity.
  6. After Identity:, choose the identity you created.
  7. Click the OK button.
