TechNet for LSAs

Presenter: Doug Loyd, ITC-Departmental Computing Support

Many technical resources are available through Departmental Computing Support's TechNet server. Only those with accounts will have access to these resources and LSAs must attend this session to get an account. As an LSA you will have access to FAQs, troubleshooting information, and updated technical information in a more easily searchable format than the Web provides. Doug Loyd, Departmental Computing's Technical Resource Coordinator will introduce you to this valuable resource

of Backing Up Your Files

Presenter: Will Martin, ITC-Desktop Computing Services

No one is immune to the risk of lost or corrupted data. Have you already experienced that sinking feeling that accompanies a hardware failure or a virus corrupting your data files? What is it worth to avoid or minimize that situation from happening or happening again?

Join ITC's Desktop Computing Services' Will Martin to find out the ins and outs of back up. Learn about the types of backup, available media for backup, and how to schedule your backups to get the best results with the least amount of effort.

Plan for an hour of helpful information and tips. Stay longer for more in depth answers to your questions about backup.

Tour of Digital Media Lab at Robertson Media Center

Presenter: Michael Tuite, Head, Digital Media Lab 

Join Michael Tuite on a tour of the Digital Media Lab. The Digital Media Lab provides equipment, space and support for the digitization, manipulation and presentation of many forms of media: images (two- and three-dimensional), video, animation and sound. These services are available to faculty, staff, and students. Find out about these resources and how they may be helpful to your department.
