Windows 95, 98, 2000 or NT 4.0 Windows Tutorial:

  • Using your mouse:

Click the Start button and click Help on the menu. Explore the options it offers.

  • Using your keyboard:

If you have a keyboard with the Windows key on it (looks like a curved window with four panes and a smear trailing off to the left), press it. If your keyboard lacks that key, hold the Ctrl key down and tap the Esc key. The Start button is now depressed and the Start Menu is open. Now press H to activate the Help menu. Use the up and down cursor keys to select a topic. Hit the Enter key to jump to that topic. If you get to a screen where the cursor keys don't select what you wish to select, try the tab key.

In Windows 98, choose "Discover Windows 98" (most other options require cautions). You will need your Win98 CD and a lot of time -- the tutorial is pretty and slow.
