University standard Communication Outlets consist of three jacks for use with telephone and Ethernet data network services and an optional fourth jack for television services on the UVa Broadband Cable Plant. The top (or left) jack is always used to support telephone service. The middle jack is used for standard Ethernet data network services. The third jack is available to support either a second telephone line or a second data network connection. The rates shown below are for the standard default outlet activation of one telephone and one data connection. Data-only and television-only services are also available. Data-only jacks and television outlet installation should be ordered on an ITC Network Operations Work Order Request. The fourth jack for television services is not available in all buildings.
