Laser Printers
ACHS has several 600-dpi laser printers. You can print to them from any computer in the ACHS labs.

Dye-sublimation Printers
ACHS's two Codonics NP1600 dye-sublimation printers print glossy photo-quality prints on Kodak paper at up to 300 dpi. Most journals accept these prints with manuscript submissions. These printers are accessible via the network, after a little configuration.

Use of these printers is restricted to research or clinical use. Printing on the Codonics printers is not a free service!
- Black-and-white prints (on ginko) are $3.75 per sheet.
- Color prints (on ginko3) are $5.00 per sheet.
- YOU MUST PAY FOR EVERY SHEET, INCLUDING BANNER PAGES. Turn network banner pages off before printing to the dye-sublimation printers.
- You must have an ACHS Printing account to release prints. If you do not have a printing account you my request one at http://print.achs.virginia.edu.
- You need the following information to set up a printing account:
- A PTAO number
- Your department's accounting contact person
- The email address for you accounting contact person
- The UVa messenger mail address for the accounting contact
Remote Printing to ACHS's Specialty Printers
You can send documents from your office computer to the Codonics and Tektronix printers at ACHS. Your computer needs a little reconfiguration. Follow these instructions.
