Image Quantification

[Jul 17, 2008 14:02] The feature in Xpressions that notifies a user by email when they receive a voice mail is currently not working. Siemens is aware of the problem and is working on it. This does not affect any other aspect of Xpressions.

ITC-ACHS offers both ImageQuant and Image Pro Plus to help you with Image Quantification. The choice of quantification software depends on the nature of your experiment and your image. The following quantification packages will import PC-format TIFF files.

ImageQuant

Every Windows and Macintosh computer in ACHS has ImageQuant software installed. ImageQuant is designed to quantify electrophoretic gels. It has powerful tools to separate bands and integrate peaks. For more information, see documents ACHS-104, ACHS-103, and ACHS-204.

Image Pro Plus

Image Pro Plus is a versatile package that can quantify microscope images. It is useful for area measurements and grain counting. To measure areas and distances, you need an image that includes a known distance so that you can calibrate measurements. Image-Pro Plus can also superimpose images.
