ITC-ACHS Data Acquisition Lab

The Data Aquisition Laboratory (MSB 3031) provides hardware and software for acquiring, displaying, and analysing basic-science image data (autoradiograms and X-ray films). Following is a detailed list of resources available in the lab.

Hardware

  • Laser Densitometers
  • Iomega Zip Drives
  • Color Laser
  • Codonics dye sublimation (color & greyscale)
  • X-ray Film Scanner
  • Film recorder for making 35mm slides

Software

  • ImageQuant Gel analysis software
  • Photoshop CS2
  • Freehand 10.0

All of the Molecular Dynamics hardware and software is linked through a Macintosh OSX file server (Meduser). As films are scanned, the data is stored on the server and can be analyzed back in the investigator's office or laboratory (requires an account on Meduser).
